Hi DAZED Beauties,

I have finished July’s Canva templates, FINALLY! So, this month, I thought I should share with you how I use the Canva templates I make to help me post on social media in a seamless manner. Hopefully, this will assist you in saving some precious time.

A Step-by-Step Guide to Scheduling Social Media Posts with Canva

In the fast-paced world of social media, maintaining a consistent online presence is crucial for authors. However, the task of creating and sharing content regularly can be time-consuming and overwhelming. This is where my Patreon subscription and tools like Canva come to the rescue. Via my Patreon, you have access to templates created by me specifically for authors and book advertisements on social media. Through Canva you can adjust these designs to create stunning visuals to share. The beauty of having the templates in Canva is that it also enables you to streamline your social media strategy by allowing you to schedule posts in advance directly from Canva as opposed to logging in to each social media platform and scheduling each platform individually. In this brief guide, I will attempt to walk you through the process of scheduling social media posts with Canva to help you save time and keep your online presence thriving.

Step 1: Create Your Content

Before you start scheduling, you need to design the content you want to share via Canva. Through my Patreon, you have access to a plethora of templates for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and more. Choose a template that aligns with your brand’s aesthetics or create a design from scratch.

  • Select a Template: Browse through the extensive collection of templates or start with a blank canvas.
  • Customize Your Design: Add your text, images, logos, and other elements to the template. Canva provides an easy-to-use drag-and-drop interface, making the design process a breeze. But, if you ever have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me for help.
  • Branding Consistency: Ensure that your design elements, color palette, and fonts are consistent with your brand’s identity.

Step 2: Schedule Your Social Media Posts

After you’re satisfied with your design, it’s time to schedule your post.

  • Choose the Social Media Platform: Click on the “Share” button in the top right corner of the Canva editor. Select the social media platform on which you want to schedule your post.
  • Connect Your Account: If you haven’t already, you’ll need to connect your social media account to Canva. Follow the prompts to grant the necessary permissions.
  • Add Post Details: Craft a compelling caption to accompany your post. You can also add hashtags and mentions, depending on the platform.
  • Select Scheduling Option: Choose whether you want to publish the post immediately or schedule it for a later time.
  • Choose Date and Time: Select the date and time when you want your post to go live. Canva allows you to schedule posts for specific time slots to ensure maximum visibility.
  • Preview and Schedule: Double-check your post details and design. Once you’re satisfied, hit the “Schedule” button. Canva will take care of the rest, posting your content at the designated time.
