No matter who designs your cover, every interpretation is subjective. Sometimes details can be misunderstood between concept and result.
A custom book cover gives you a one-of-a-kind design. It is created to match your manuscript down to the smallest detail. However, this process can be difficult for authors who think visually rather than verbally. Every custom cover also carries a small amount of risk.
What if I don’t like the result?
With DAZED Designs, this risk is very low. We use a detailed design brief before we start. Our designer, Tash, also works closely with each author in real time. You get regular progress updates throughout the process.

Pre-Made Book Covers
Tash creates new pre-made book covers whenever she can. Each design follows current market trends and genre expectations. Covers can be customised to suit your manuscript. The beauty of pre-mades is that they let you see the final design before you commit.
Premades mean that Tash does most of the work for you. She scouts the stock images so you don’t have to. Tash begins by reviewing the overall aesthetic of the image. From there, she selects the most suitable effects. Extra details are painted in to match both the genre and the photo.
Tash creates pre-made book covers for all genres. Each design is paired with genre-specific typography. This streamlined process is faster and more efficient. It also allows pre-made covers to be priced more competitively than custom designs.
