I hope you’re all doing well during the silly season! I wanted to share a productivity tip that can make a huge difference in managing your social media—especially if you’re juggling multiple platforms and promotional efforts. Scheduling your social media posts in advance can save you valuable time and keep your social presence consistent and professional.

One of the easiest ways to do this is by using Canva’s social media scheduling tool. Canva makes it simple to design, schedule, and post all from one platform so you can streamline your content creation and stay on top of your marketing without stress. However, you will need a pro or team account to access this feature. So, please keep that in mind.

Here’s how to use Canva to schedule all your social media posts for the week:

Step-by-Step Instructions to Schedule Posts with Canva:

  • Log Into Canva:
If you don’t have an account yet, head over to www.canva.com and sign up for a free account or log in to your existing one.

  • Create Your Social Media Posts:

    • In Canva, go to your DAZED Designs Templates section, or the Tier 1 template list Sheet you’ve been added to, and search for social media post designs that suit your needs (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.).

    • Select a template you like, or start from scratch. Use Canva’s user-friendly tools to customize your post with images, text, and branding elements.

      • Tip: I have created various pre-sized templates for each platform, so you don’t need to worry about the correct dimensions for each social media network.

  • Prepare Your Content:
    • Once you’ve designed your post, click Download to save your image (usually in PNG or JPG format).

    • If you’re planning multiple posts for the week, design all of them in one go and download them to your computer. You can organize your content for the week in folders on your device.

  • Access Canva’s Content Scheduler:

    • If you have a Canva Pro or Canva for Teams account, you can access the Content Planner tool. To do this, click on “Content Planner” from the left sidebar.

    • This is where you can schedule posts directly to your social media platforms.

  • Connect Your Social Media Accounts:

    • Click on “Connect a social account” in Canva’s Content Planner. You can link your Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, or Pinterest accounts to Canva. Follow the prompts to authenticate and connect your accounts.

  • Schedule Your Posts:
    • Once your accounts are connected, click on the date you want to schedule a post for, and a new post window will appear.

    • Upload the image you created in Canva and add your caption, hashtags, and any additional text you want.

    • Select the platform(s) where you want the post to go live. You can schedule posts across multiple platforms at once.

    • Choose the time and date you want your post to go live, and hit “Schedule”.

  • Review Your Schedule:

    • After scheduling your posts, you’ll be able to see all of your upcoming posts in the Content Planner. If you need to make any changes, simply click on the post to edit or reschedule it.

Why This Method is a Game-Changer:

  • Save Time: By scheduling your posts in one go, you’ll free up time to focus on other aspects of your writing or business.

  • Consistency: Keeping your social media active and updated regularly can increase engagement and visibility for your work.

  • Plan Ahead: You can plan your content around promotions, holidays, or upcoming book launches and ensure you’re posting strategically.

With this simple workflow, you’ll never miss a post again, and you can keep your social media content flowing without daily effort. Feel free to reach out if you need assistance getting started or setting up your Canva scheduling. I’m here to help!
